Ericksmoen wins the O'Reilly Thunder valley Nationals
After losing in the final at the IHRA race in Rockingham last weekend Larry redeemed himself with a perfect weekend of racing at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol winning the Super Comp title and also won the perfectly strange award for running dead on the index first round.

Titan Motorsports breaks 7's with Street Supra!



 The Autoshop Racing Engines powered Titan street Supra went 7.94 @ 181 to be the first car at the annual TX2k event to break into the 7's with pilot Gary White.

Lennart and Birgitta put their names on the map with a strong showing winning over some of the best engine builders in the world at the 2005 Engine Masters Challenge. 509ci big block Chevy making 853hp / 750lbs torq on 91 octane fuel.

Per Svedberg secured the 2005 Pro Street championship in the Scandinavian Drag racing Series with his Autoshop Racing Engines powered Chevelle. Consistent mid 7 second passes throughout the season generated enough points to surpass runner up Mats Appelgren for the championship win.

Kiiskinen fastest small block
Jukka Kiiskinen ran an impressive 7.41 @185mph at the Scandinavian drag racing series event in Sundsvall Sweden. It is the fastest small block class run recorded in European drag racing. Congratulations.

World Record by Envall
Anders "Bostic" Envall recently headed to Mantorp Park Sweden to make an attempt on his own world ET record for towing a camper down the quarter mile, this time using his ten-second Chevy Impala SS as a tow vehicle. The old record was set in 1982 with his 355 1967 Camaro and reset again in 2005 with his 396 Impala SS LT1. Both cars powered with Autoshop Racing Engines built motors..
The new record is a blistering 16.27 with the 6700lbs total tonnage.

Team Titan Motorsports makes the fastest and quickest run ever in sports compact history!
 
Brad Personett blasted down Atco dragway in the gold Titan Mail Order Toyota Celica in 6.40 seconds against Matt Hartford in the Pro RWD final - the quickest sport compact pass in series history. In addition to claiming his second career Pro RWD category victory on the run, Personett’s 217.12 mph speed also backed-up the 220 mph qualifying mark to reset the Pro RWD category speed record.

Congratulations Chuck Trotter for your wins at the Fun Ford event in Orlando Speed world dragway March 2005. Chuck drove his big block Ford powered Thunderbird to double wins winning both saturday and sunday at the 2 day event.

2004 Comp eliminator winner and record holder

Olympic ski jumping champion Janne Ahonen is the winner of the 2004 Nordic Drag Racing Series Comp championship and also set the European C/D record with a 7.15 / 188mph with his  dragster powered by a 358ci Small block Chevy built  by Lennart at Autoshop Racing Engines.

Congratulations Larry Ericksmoen for your well deserved win at the Lucas oil Nationals Brainerd Minnesota
Larry drove his big block powered super comp dragster trough 6 rounds of competition and ran an almost perfect 8.908 coupled with a stout .010 reaction time in the final to take the win. Good Job.

Ashworth wins from the #1 spot
Pete Ashworth won Summer nationals at Santa Pod Dragway June 13 with his Autoshop Racing Engines powered Outlaw Anglia. Pete did it all, qualified #1 with a great pass saturday and turned on the win light all day sunday.

Anderson goes .900 under in Gainesville
Jeff Anderson qualified in Super Stock as the fastest GT/DA with a .912under 9.88/137mph
with his Autoshop Racing Engines tuned 358 small block Chevy powered Camaro.

 

IHRA World Finals toughest ever for Pro Stock
Team Autoshop made its best Pro Stock effort so far at the World finals in Rockingham dragway. With a tune up by Lennart the team recorded an excellent  6.535 that rewarded them with the #5 qualifying spot. Their speed 212.69mph was top speed of the meet until the last qualifying run when Rick Jones ran a 213 and the bump spot was an incredible 6.560
Driver Jerry Haas won first round in the postponed rain out event taking out #1 qualifier Pete Berner. In the second round the team outrun Mike Bell with a loosing 6.535 against Bells 6.565 due to a slower reaction time.
Racers luck strikes the team in the main event when the shifter arm broke in the burn out for first run and the car could not be shifted.

 

Team Autoshop qualifies well at World Street Nationals
Driver John Bartunek qualified the Team Autoshop Racing Pontiac Grand Am 9.th out of 56 cars in the Super Pro Street class with a 6.840 @ 206.7mph at the Orlando World Street Nationals event.
The team won first round against Richard Earls/Voss racing 57 Ford Fairlaine Hemi. A redlight start  put the team on the trailer in second round but everybody was pretty happy with the effort, being the only normally aspirated car in the class they probably hurt most by the bad air this weekend.

Team Autoshop Racing Engines outruns the pointsleader
The Autoshop race team qualified for the tough Pro Stock field at the President Cup Nationals  Maryland International raceway september 26-28
Driver Jerry Haas drove the team Autoshop Pontiac Grand Am to a solid 12.th qualifying spot out of 29 cars making qualifying runs. The team went on to win first round over 5.th qualifier Doug Kirk and outran points leader Carl Baker in the second round but a slower reaction time put the team on the trailer this time.

Swedish Customer Michael Callin ran a record quick 7.452 @ 182mph and recorded an impressive 1.04 60'  with the Autoshop Racing Engines powered Jerry Haas built C/A Olds Cutlass at a test session in Bradenton Florida. The 357ci small block Chevy engine is built and tuned in house by Lennart at Autoshop Racing Engines.

Scott Perin fastest C/A at the Dutch classic
The Autoshop race team recorded  new best et and speed at the Dutch classic event in Maple Grove raceway PA.
Driver Scott Perin ran a  7.531 @ 180.10mph to qualify #16 in one of the toughest comp fields of the season. 49 cars made qualifying runs and it took a stout .460 under to even qualify. The team also won class in C/A Unfortunately the race got canceled due to persistent rain.

Team Autoshop Racing Engines qualified at INDY
with a 7.66@176 Driver Scott Perin came up just shy of an perfect light with a .499 against Comp driver of the year David Rampy in a first round loss. The car worked good and a 1.065 60' 3.11 330' in that run would have translated to a ~7.62

European Pro Stock Champion qualifies well in US
 Pro stock champ Niclas Andersson competed at the Florida Nationals in Orlando and the Gatornationals driving the Autoshop Racing Engines Olds Cutlass.
The team recorded a new top speed in Orlando with a 178.11mph clocking. They qualified #16 and lost first round to Michael Hardee.
At the gators the team qualified as the fastest C/A with a good 7.604
A red light start in the first round ended a otherwise great weekend for the team.
We want to thank Magnus Lindahl for the great help with VP fuel sales, and Markus Svensson and Tim Freeman for their professional inputs.

Jerry Haas qualifies #2
Renowned chassis builder Jerry Haas drove Autoshop racing engines C/A Olds cutlass to the #2 qualifying spot at the Orlando Sportsman open event December 7-9.
The Autoshop race team recorded a best 60' time of 1.07 but the unusually hot weather prevented the them from bettering their speed and et marks andended up with the #2 spot.
The team lost a close first round decision against comp top runner Charlie Westcott despite a excellent .512 reaction time by Jerry Haas.

Tim Freeman sets new IHRA National record
The Autoshop Racing team established a new 1/4 mile national record in C/Altered at Darlington dragway during the Holley championship drag racing series event July 7.
Driver Tim Freeman established the new E.T and mph records at 7.82 / 173.31 in the 3000 feet adjusted altitude conditions.
The 5speed stick shift Jerry Haas built 92 Cutlass is powered by a 357ci normally aspirated small block Chevy that is built and tuned by Lennart at Autoshop Racing Engines.
