Company profile
Autoshop Racing Engines occupies a 4000 square foot building in beautiful Orlando Florida.
The business is owned and operated by Birgitta
Bergqvist.

It started back in 1974 in Sweden with a 1966 Chevy Nova Lennart
built in a small garage. The car was used for street racing duels
as soon as the snow melted after the long winters.

From there, the passion for racing and performance
was leading in to the first hard core Speed Shop in northern Sweden
where racers from all over the country went to have their engines built
and cylinder heads ported.
In 1985 a decision was made to move from the long and cold
winters to sunny Florida.
Today we operate an
successful engine building and performance parts business in
Orlando, with state of the art machinery including
computerized engine Dyno and cylinder head flow bench.
With over 30 years in the engine building business we have learned
that there is no substitute for quality parts and attention to detail.
The best testimonials is from our customers, who have won championships
and set records in NHRA, IHRA, European drag racing, Road racing and street

Larry Ericksmoen has been a customer for 10 years and has
won 3 NHRA championships using Autoshop Racing engines power plants
in all of them.
Current car is a Super Comp dragster with our 509ci BB Chevy that
has run a best of 7.80@168mph

"The motors that I have received from Lennart has been
fast and super reliable.
Living in Florida we race all year long, usually making 450 seven second
runs each season. With this kind of dependability we have the confidence
to travel to races all over the country and pay hundreds of dollars in
entry fees without having a spare motor. We just haven't needed one! Take
my advise, don't waste your money on an assembly line built mail order
engine, get Lennart to personally build you a motor you can trust to put
you in the final round many times."
